  • Registration will benefit the industry by raising the profile of the of the Professions. It will work to towards eradicating tainted perceptions. Registered persons will be seen as truly professional and attract better and more interest from students.
  • The Act, 48 of 2000 is established to protect the public. Registered Professionals are less likely to take unacceptable risks that affect the environment, lower quality and affect the safety of workers.

Members DatabaseAll CM & CPM are required to be Members of SACPCMP - How does this apply to consulting Engineers who are CPM & Resident Engineers on construction sites?

  • Any person that assuming work identified for Construction and Project Management is required to register with SACPCMP as per section 18 of the Act,48 of 2000.
  • For purposes of clarity, registered persons are not members of SACPCMP. A person becomes a member of the Council only by appointment by the Public Minister of Public Works as per section 3 and section 4(4) of the Act,48 of 2000.
